Studies on Laser Therapy have shown that it is equal or more effective then other forms of physical therapy. Your pet will not feel any discomfort during treatments and very often the use of pain medications can be reduced or eliminated all together. Most pets feel better within 12 to 24 hours of treatment. Laser Therapy treatments are available individually or in packages of five where you get a sixth treatment free. Call the clinic and speak with Tammy to schedule an appointment.

Patricia R. Davis, DVM:

dr davis
Being an Air Force brat it is hard to say where you are from, but I was born at Patrick AFB in Florida playing on the beaches and watching missiles catapulted into the heavens. I lived the longest in Clovis, New Mexico-home of tumbleweed Christmas trees and an abundance of dust storms. I had a wide variety of pets growing up (though my mom drew the line at skunks and snakes), enjoying each and every one. My passion was horses, and still is today.

I married my husband, Jimmy Davis, while he was in vet school. Many years after his graduation, I decided to go to vet school. I attended LSU my first year, then ended up transferring to and graduating from Auburn University in 2000. (It's hard to go to one school when your spouse is military and moves frequently).

We have lived in the Killeen area since 2000 with a brief hiatus when the military sent us to Monterey Bay, California. We have two children, Ashley and Jordan. We also have a menagerie of dogs, cockatiels, horses, and chickens, as well as some fish and a cat.

Jeanette Adler Nicholson, DVM:

Dr Nicholson
Growing up in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Jeanette attended Mississippi State University for undergraduate and veterinary school. After graduating in 2002, she worked at an emergency clinic in Jackson, Mississippi. Married to Sam, an ER physician at Scott & White in Roundrock, Jeanette joined the El Centro team in 2004. Jeanette has 2 cats, Booger and Spooky, and enjoys cooking, watching movies and hanging out with friends.

Dr. W. Lee Erwin, DVM:

Dr. Erwin
Dr. Erwin, a native Texan, spent most of his early years in the Houston area. A graduate of San Jacinto High School, he received a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Physics and Mathematics form Stephen F. Austin State College in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was employed on the faculty at Central Texas College for 4 years before attending Texas A&M University to study veterinary medicine. After graduating from The College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in 1975, Dr. Erwin began his career in veterinary medicine in Killeen. In 1976, Dr. Erwin opened Southside Animal Clinic (later to be renamed El Centro Pet Medical & Laser Surgery Center) at its current location on South W.S. Young Drive where he has since practiced. In the nearly 33 years of practice, he has the privilege of watching hundreds of pets develop from new born to old age and their off-spring do the same thru several generations. Dr. Erwin also highly values the many long-term friendships with the families of all these pets that have developed over the years. Dr. Erwin transferred ownership to his long term colleague Dr. Pat Davis and assumed the role of Associate Veterinarian.
